"Beantown Rising Stars 2010 Competition"

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

Eligibility. Subject to the additional limitations below, the "Beantown Rising Stars 2010 Contest" Voters' Competition (the "Competition") is open only to Boston and Massachusetts residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Hot97Boston.com d/b/a Hot97Boston ("Sponsor" or " Hot97Boston.com"), Pipeline Studios, or any other participating sponsor(s) of the "Beantown Rising Stars 2010 Contest" Competition, or of their respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, or other agents, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible.

Entry. The Competition will begin at 12:00:00 a.m. (ECT.) on December 3, 2009, and will run throughout 2010 (the "Voting Period"). The Contest consists of three separate phases - one (1) for each radio voting period. The entry pool for each Thursday will consist of two eligible entries received during that period (i.e., all entries received during the 24-hour period. To participate and vote, log onto www.hot97boston.com during the Voting Period, click on the "Beantown Rising Stars 2010 Contest" logo, and follow all instructions to vote for your favorite "Beantown Rising Stars 2010" contestant. Eligible entrants who complete all required information and cast a vote for a "Beantown Rising Stars 2010 Contest" contestant will be entered into the vote total. Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, or misdirected entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. The use of software or other automated processes to enter is strictly prohibited. In the event of a dispute in connection with the identity of the individual who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account associated with the entry. The authorized account holder is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, service provider, or other online organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple daily entries submitted by the same person will be disqualified. Any questions regarding the owner of an email account shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the competition.

Winner Notification and Acceptance. Each weekly winner will be notified via email and telephone call at contact provided to station. Inability to reach a winner or a winner's failure to comply with these Official Rules may at Sponsor's discretion result in that winner's disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in any prize, and the selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Winners may waive their right to receive a prize. Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winners. Except where prohibited, participation in the competition constitutes each winner's consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation.

Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor and the competition judges, which shall be final in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this competition as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Competition is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor that corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the competition, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Competition. Should the Competition be terminated prior to the stated end date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on entries received before the termination date.

Liability Release. By entering the Competition, you agree to release Sponsor, Hot97Boston, Hot97Boston.com, Pipeline Recording Studios, and each of their respective affiliated companies, and the directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners and agents of each, from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Competition or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize.

Sponsor. The "Beantown Rising Stars 2010 Contest" Voters' Competition is sponsored by Hot97Boston & Pipeline Recording Studios. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials or announcements relating to the Competition.
